• Does it line up with pollen months, rainy humid stretches or mold spots in the bathroom?
• Did you switch detergent, soap, lotion or perfume shortly before it started?
• Did you try a new food or medication?

With your answers and a physical exam, the clinic's medical team decides whether any lab work is needed and which treatment to try first.

How do we ease a stuffy nose and watery eyes?

Allergic rhinitis is usually handled with antihistamines, nasal sprays or eye drops; the team picks the combination based on your age, your other medications and whether daytime drowsiness would get in the way of your job. The prescription goes electronically to the pharmacy you pick, and we add practical tips: wash bedding in hot water, keep windows shut on high-pollen days and shower after yard work.

What do we do when the reaction shows up on your skin?

Hives that come and go, a rash where a new product touched you, or eczema that itches at night all deserve a close look. We check the shape and location of the spots, ask what changed around you, and the team recommends creams or oral medication depending on the case. If a cough comes along with the allergy, it's worth looking into respiratory illness care as well.

When shouldn't you wait for a regular visit?

If your lips, tongue or throat swell, or breathing gets hard after a sting, a food or a medication, call 911. That's an emergency and can't wait.
